I remember reading in the authoritative biography of the Gaon Rebbi Akiva Eiger zt"l, that his family was concerned for his health because he used to go to the mikveh early each morning. One can only imagine the condition of this mikveh in the freezing cold winters of Eastern Europe. Because he used to go so early, he had his own key. One day, his family hid the key to prevent him from going.
On that day, the man in charge of mikveh had a dream that he must bring his key to Rebbi Akiva Eiger which he did.
From then on, his family stopped bothering him about going to the mikveh.
