Pidyon Shvuyim - A Phone Call a Day For Jonathan Pollard

There are requests for everyone in the US and abroad to call the White House comment line, between the hours of 10 AM and 4 PM EST, once a day, every day, at 202-456-1414 or 202-456-1111, and ask in a respectful way for the release of Jonathan Pollard. Simple, to the point statements, have been suggested, such as, "Please release Jonathan Pollard; 22 years in prison is more than enough."

This is a simple way to be involved in the mitzvah of Pidyon Shvuyim. Even if you're one of those that feel he deserved prison, he did more than enough time, and as a fellow member of Klal Yisroel, we owe it to him. This is besides the fact that he already gave up so many years of his life for doing something that may have saved many lives. You can read more about the case at JonathanPollard.org. Also, most importantly, have Jonathan Pollard in mind in your tefilos – his name is Yehonasan ben Malka.

Hi

I'm just writing to tell how much i appreciate your wonderful blog, you've really utilized the internet in a positive Torah way...makes me think that ''they created it for us!''.

I'm also trying to make a little difference B''H using the net. I just created a website called
www.havroota.com It's a free online service that helps jews around the world find or post a request for a Torah study partner/class. Its not that known yet but i hope that people will use it to meet and learn very soon its a sort of Jdate for learning Torah.

I hope the idea and website appeals to you and you're great work,
bracha vehatslacha,
Mikael
