Shovavim - Snow a Good Portent?

Yes! It can be. I heard that one Chanukah when it snowed, one of the tzadikim said it was a favorable sign. Why? Because Chanukah is the end of the judgement period, as brought down from the Arizal and the posuk says in Yishaya 1:18
Come now, let us debate, says the Lord. If your sins prove to be like crimson, they will become white as snow; if they prove to be as red as crimson dye, they shall become as wool.
The snow is an indication that our sins turned white and we are forgiven. I think the same can be applied to now. It is the last week of Shovavim and it is snowing in New York City for the first time this season. Let us pray that this means all the sins of Klal Yisroel are forgiven at the end of this period of Shovavim.

Reb Leibele Eiger in Toras Emes says a similar thing when it snowed Pesach.

Don't forget that today Thursday is Yom Kipur Koton. Last one of Shovavim.

Maybe I have a lot of Chutzpah, I hope and pray that what you say is true, but I couldn't resist pointing out that רובו ככולו and the רוב is (as far as I know) in Israel now, so klal Yisrael is too.

You're right, but when try to look for good signs and I look what Anonymous said "Reb Leibele Eiger in Toras Emes says a similar thing when it snowed Pesach." Rov of Klal Yisroel wasn't there but he said it was a good sign. Additionally, perhaps all the support the NY community gives to support Torah and chesed in Eretz Yisroel gives it importance.
